NORTH MUSKOKA – Huntsville’s inclusive golf tournament is teeing up some new excitement in 2023.

Community Living Huntsville hosts Golf Fore Inclusion, an all-abilities, nine-hole tournament, at Deerhurst Lakeside Golf Course on Thursday, September 7, 2023, starting at 9:00 AM. Early Bird registration is $90 per person until July 31. Registration increases to $100 per person on August 1.

“This event, no matter your level of golf skill or experience, is a great way to get out on the course, meet people, and have fun, without taking the game too seriously,” says Jennifer Jerrett, Community Engagement Specialist for Community Living Huntsville. “And if you need even more incentive, this year we have the added excitement of an insured $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize for the first golfer to sink that shot on a select hole.”

The tournament, which sold out last year, is a safe and welcoming event for anyone who wants to give it a shot, even if they feel their golf game may not be up to par. It is a no-pressure, community focused tournament for players with and without disabilities that celebrates a fun, inclusive golf community.

The half-day on the course also aims to raise awareness and funds for Community Living Huntsville’s Transitional Housing Initiative for adults who access the not-for-profit organization’s services and are homeless or at risk of homelessness in North Muskoka.

Jerrett gave special thanks to the organization’s 2023-2024 Signature Event Partners, including Tall Trees, Lovegrove Construction, Muskoka Party Rentals, Dan Willett Financial, and the Stephenson District Lions Club, for making events like this possible. “We couldn’t do it without them,” says Jerrett.

Registration includes a round of golf, a cart, a barbecue lunch, and a chance at prizes. Registration deadline is August 31.
