NORTH MUSKOKA – The search is on for local Muskoka talent to step into the spotlight.

Registration and auditions are now open for Huntsville’s Got Talent 2023. Entrants must submit their registration forms and audition videos by Friday, February 3. Anyone who is interested will find details on how to enter at www.huntsvillesgottalent.com.

“There is so much talent in Muskoka, and it’s time to shine a spotlight on it!” says Jennifer Jerrett, event organizer and Community Engagement Specialist for Community Living Huntsville. “We encourage everyone of any ability with a talent – singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, impressionists, magicians, poets, artists, actors, athletes, jugglers, yo-yoers, and more – to submit their registration forms and audition videos for this friendly community contest!”

Judges will announce nine finalists on Monday, February 6. The public will then choose one additional finalist through online vote by Monday, February 13. All 10 finalists will then take to the Algonquin Theatre stage in Huntsville on Saturday, March 4, at 7:00 PM, to perform for judges in front of an audience.

First place prize is $1,000, second place prize is $250, and third place prize is $100.

There is no cost to enter. Audience tickets are on sale now at AlgonquinTheatre.ca. All proceeds from Huntsville’s Got Talent will support Community Living Huntsville.

“This event is about celebrating community, so what better cause to support than an organization dedicated to growing an inclusive community where people with developmental disabilities and their families can live as respected, included, and valued community members?” says Jerrett. “This year, funds raised will support our innovative community-based housing initiatives to assist people and families we support in finding and keeping roofs over their heads in North Muskoka.”
