It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – and community spirit – in downtown Huntsville!

Artists supported by Community Living Huntsville have volunteered their time and talent to add some festive flair to Huntsville’s Main Street. Artists painted 12 wooden evergreen tree cutouts with unique style. The decorative trees are now on display as the 2022 Festival of Trees in downtown Huntsville from November 24 to December 19.

The third annual festival is a partnership between artists, the Downtown Huntsville BIA, and Community Living Huntsville. Festival supporters, like Muskoka Lumber, helped prep materials and provide supplies.

The festival promotes connection between the community member artists, downtown merchants, and downtown visitors. The artists are at the heart of the festival, as they share their community spirit by creating the art for the collaborative installation that is free for all to enjoy.

And take note! Artists have also donated their trees to Community Living Huntsville’s online Artisan Tree Auction. Each tree is available for bid as of December 1 at https://app.galabid.com/artisantreeauction/items. Funds raised will go toward our not-for-profit organization’s housing initiatives for people and families we support. The auction closes Monday, December 19, at 4:00 PM.

Community Living Huntsville is a not-for-profit, registered charity that supports and advocates alongside people with developmental disabilities and families to live, work, and play in unique and purposeful ways in North Muskoka.
