Who has downtown Huntsville’s best decorated window for Community Living month?

Community spirit in support of inclusion is on display in downtown Huntsville windows!

Community Living Huntsville, in partnership with the Downtown Huntsville BIA, is thrilled with the blue and green storefront window displays that participating BIA members have created for our Community Living Month Best Decorated Window Contest in May 2022.

The contest, in honour of Community Living Month and Community Living Huntsville’s 60th anniversary, invites businesses to decorate their windows with our signature colours to celebrate inclusion for people with developmental disabilities and their families, so everyone can live dignified and meaningful lives as respected, valued, and contributing members of their community.

A volunteer committee will choose a contest winner based on creativity and use of colour on May 19. The winner will receive a box of sweets compliments of Windmill Bakery and Bistro, a swag bag from Community Living Huntsville, and Downtown Huntsville BIA Downtown Dollars.

We encourage everyone to take a stroll downtown to enjoy the displays. Participating businesses include:

Since 1962, Community Living Huntsville has supported and advocated alongside children, and later adults, with developmental disabilities, and their families, to live dignified and meaningful lives as included, valued, and respected community members. And today we continue to advance that vision, while supporting more than 300 people and their families to live, work, and play in meaningful ways in North Muskoka.

We thank our community for celebrating with us! Join us in inspiring possibilities for inclusion of people and families.
