Youth Employment Services
Helping you gain skills for meaningful employment – and a strong future.
Our Youth Employment Specialist works with youth ages 16 to 24, who have disabilities, so they gain the skills, confidence, connections, and support to find and keep real, paid work.
What you can expect:
-
- Opportunities to develop your skills
- Help to explore and apply for job opportunities that interest you
- Support to grow your confidence, connections, and independence
- On-the-job coaching and support
- Support to build and maintain a good working relationship with your employer
- Opportunities to reduce our support as your skills, confidence, and connections grow
Our team will support you to develop your employment skills, so you can gain confidence, build connections, transition into employment, understand workplace expectations, work toward independence in the workplace, and more.
Whether you are interested in a summer job or year-round employment, let’s work together to meet your employment goals.
Did you know? A paid job while in school is the best indicator of job success after graduation for young people who have a disability.
