Huntsville, Ontario – Get ready to dance like no one is listening – and have some fun!
Community Living Huntsville hosts a Silent Disco Dance Party at Canvas Brewing Co., 12 John Street, Huntsville, on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 8:00 PM to midnight. Ages 16 and up. Tickets are $45 at bit.ly/SilentDisco2025.
“Silent discos are so much fun – you get a pair of wireless headphones, tune into the live DJ, or pick from two other channels, and dance the night away with everyone on the dancefloor,” said Jennifer Jerrett, Community Engagement Specialist with Community Living Huntsville. “Three channels, three music styles – switch it up anytime!”
Everyone gets cutting-edge wireless headphones, glow sticks, a gourmet pizza buffet, and a signature mocktail. Alcoholic beverages are extra.
“Your headphones glow with a colour depending on which channel you choose, so you can find other people to boogie down with,” said Jerrett. “It can get pretty hilarious. People across the dancefloor might randomly belt out some Cyndi Lauper or Journey lyrics together – or spontaneously gather while dancing to Macarena. It’s a hoot.”
Jerrett noted that, while the beats are pumping, anyone can remove their headphones to have a conversation. “There are no noise complaints, just fun vibes,” she said. “It is the perfect party if you want to take a break before jumping back in.”
Funds raised will support the not-for-profit organization’s affordable housing initiatives for people with developmental disabilities and families who access its services in North Muskoka.
“Enjoy a hilarious and memorable night with friends while making a difference in our community,” said Jerrett. “You don’t want to miss this.”
