Media Release: Ready to step into the spotlight? Huntsville’s Got Talent 2024 registration now open

Huntsville, Ontario – Calling all dancers, musicians, comedians, impressionists, poets, actors, jugglers, singers, and more, in Huntsville and area! Now is your chance to audition for Huntsville’s Got Talent 2024.

Contestant registration for Huntsville’s Got Talent 2024 opens Thursday, December 28, 2023. Registration is free and open to community members of all ages, talents, and abilities. Contestants must submit their registration forms and audition videos by Friday, January 26, 2024. Full details are available at www.huntsvillesgottalent.com.

“I say go for it,” says Todd Blair, a guitarist and singer-songwriter who won the 2023 competition in front of a sold-out crowd. “It’s such a great community. Take your shot. Risk it. Do it.”

Judges will announce nine finalists, plus a shortlist of wildcard contestants, on Monday, January 29. The public can then vote online for one last finalist from the wildcard contestants by Monday, February 5. All 10 finalists will then perform for the judges live on stage at the Algonquin Theatre on Saturday, February 24, at 7:00 PM, in front of an audience.

First place prize is $1,000, second place prize is $250, and third place prize is $100.

Audience tickets are on sale now at AlgonquinTheatre.ca. Proceeds will go to Community Living Huntsville to support the not-for-profit organization’s innovative housing initiatives for people with developmental disabilities and families who access its services. The initiatives, like Transitional Housing, assist people and families to find and keep roofs over their heads in their community.

“Huntsville’s Got Talent celebrates our community and the huge variety of talent in it. If you have a talent to share, we urge you to register and send in your audition video,” says Jennifer Jerrett, event organizer and Community Engagement Specialist for Community Living Huntsville. “We are working hard for a jaw-dropping experience for both contestants and audience members on performance night – and a more inclusive future for our community.”
